What inspired you to start The DIY Mommy?

As a new mom, I was on a tight budget but I still wanted to create a beautiful home for my family. That's when I discovered the world of DIY and realized that I could create the home of my dreams without spending a fortune. I started The DIY Mommy as a way to inspire and encourage others to do the same.

How do you come up with your DIY project ideas?

My ideas come from a variety of places - Pinterest, Instagram, design magazines, and sometimes it's just something that pops into my head in the middle of the night! I'm always looking for new and creative ways to solve problems and make our home more functional and beautiful.

What's your favorite DIY project that you've ever done?

That's a tough one! I have so many projects that I'm proud of, but if I had to choose I would say our modern farmhouse kitchen renovation. It was a huge project and it completely transformed the heart of our home. Every time I walk into our kitchen now, I feel so grateful and proud of what we accomplished.

How do you balance running a successful channel and blog with being a mom?

It's definitely a juggling act! I try to stay as organized as possible by creating schedules and routines for both work and family time. I also have an amazing team that helps me with behind-the-scenes work and childcare when I need it. It's not always easy, but I love what I do and I feel so lucky to have the opportunity to do it.

What advice would you give to someone who is new to DIY?

My best advice is to start small and take it one project at a time. Don't be intimidated by the process - everyone starts somewhere! There are so many resources available now, like YouTube tutorials and online forums, that can help you along the way. And most importantly, don't be afraid to make mistakes - they're all part of the learning process!

What's next for The DIY Mommy?

I'm always dreaming up new project ideas, so there will definitely be more DIY tutorials and home decor inspiration coming soon! I'm also hoping to expand my product line in the near future, so stay tuned for that.
